Happy St Patricks Day.

I love Banshee's Horseman of Apocalypse look from Uncanny X-Force.

Here I go with my stupid compositions again.
Nothing to do with the movie, which I saw last night and it absolutely floored me. It had me in tears and I still have a lump in my throat and a bit of a manly quiver in my lip this morning.

No, this is a kinda 'How I would bring Logan back in the comics' kinda thing. It's based off a note-pad sketch I did god-knows-how-long ago, which I found while chucking stuff. It's been a while since I did little costume redesigns and this one is very much an X-Men / Avengers combo.

Will finish when I get the time. With backgrounds. And maybe another character. Either Sabretooth or Iron Man.
Merry Christmas 2016
This year's Christmas card featuring my little boy waiting for Father Christmas. It's been a bit of a stormy night and he was scared of the gales outside so I've only just managed to get him back off to sleep in reality. That's why I'm awake at 4:30am.

Merry Christmas, all :-D
Hello to the few.

I'm back. Back again. Guess who's back. Tell a friend. etc.

Sorry I've been away for a stint. Between the full time bloody big series I've just completed for a reputable and well paying publisher, being a full time dad, full time home maker (!) and so on, I've not had time to work on ANYTHING for myself. At all. So many ideas, zip time to do 'um. My paid work has been / still is under embargo so I've just lurked in the shadows watching dA like an pencil-fondling Quasimodo. So I've popped something on here today for any of you who still keep and eye out or even give half a crap.

Here's to adding more in the future going on.

  • Listening to: The house down the street getting a new roof.
  • Reading: Perfidia
  • Watching: Went to see 'Girl On The Train' last night.
  • Playing: With the little 'en when I can.
  • Eating: Nothing yet. Hungry.
  • Drinking: Twinnings Every Day Tea

Thanks. I've got loads of ethnicly diverse character in my folio. I illustrated a few titles for Tamarind books over the past 10 years.

I noticed!  It's good to see.  Part of the objective of our group is to bring overlooked ethnicity (specifically Afrocentric ethnicity) into the mainstream a little more.  I applaud your effort!

If I'm honest, it's not a conscious effort. It's just how it comes out.

I come from a very rural area in North Wales. There aren't many varying shades of skin colour around here other than the lads who work in the local Indian Restaurant, for no other reason than how remote we are. However, I'm a huge movie fan. Always have been from a very young age. I'm used to a world of different races through the movies, but being from a smaller area, there has never been any issues over race bias, like there is in cities. I've never seen the point of issues due to how people look or where they're from. If anything I find it more interesting meeting someone who isn't like me.

So I naturally add different races to my stories as a reflection on how I see the world. Publishers saw that and took me on for that reason. I just present the world around me. Well. The movie world around me. If it was the actual world around me it'd be mountains, lakes and rough seas with more sheep than people, ha ha.
